What Is a Model Page?
A Model Page is a page in a vehicle fitment database that groups the model years for one vehicle model. Instead of treating every year as an unrelated entry, the page provides a central place to browse that model's available years and review their wheel specifications.
For example, a Model Page may organize several years of the same vehicle model, with separate year entries beneath it. Each year or configuration can then contain information such as bolt pattern / PCD, center bore, original wheel diameter, wheel width, offset, tire size, and lug hardware.
How a Model Page Is Used in Wheel Fitment
A Model Page is mainly a navigation and reference structure. It helps you move from a general vehicle model to the specific model year and configuration that represent the target vehicle or donor vehicle in a wheel-interchange search.
A typical research path is:
- Open the vehicle's Model Page.
- Select the exact model year.
- Check the relevant configuration or trim, if listed.
- Compare the vehicle's fitment data with the wheel or donor vehicle.
- Review clearance and hardware requirements before deciding whether the result is Direct Fit, Direct Fit – Hardware Note, Fits With Hub Rings, Fits With Spacer, Adapter Required, Check Fitment, or Not Directly Compatible.
The Model Page itself does not prove that one year can use another year's wheels. It groups related information; compatibility still depends on the actual dimensions and vehicle configuration.
Why Model-Year Separation Matters
Vehicles can change during a production run. A facelift, generation change, brake-package update, suspension revision, or trim-level difference may affect wheel fitment. Two model years with the same model name may have different:
- Bolt pattern / PCD
- Center bore
- Factory wheel diameter or width
- Offset range
- Brake-clearance requirements
- Lug-seat or other wheel-hardware requirements
For that reason, a Model Page should be treated as an index to more specific data, not as a statement that all grouped years share identical fitment.
A wheel listed for a donor vehicle may appear relevant because both vehicles are shown on related Model Pages, but the comparison must still be made using the exact year and configuration. The same PCD alone does not establish complete compatibility; center bore, offset, wheel geometry, brake clearance, tire dimensions, and lug hardware may also matter.
Model Page vs. Model-Year Page
A Model Page covers the vehicle model as a group. A model-year page or year-specific entry covers one particular production year and may provide more precise fitment information.
The Model Page answers, “Where are the fitment entries for this model?” The year-specific entry answers, “What specifications apply to this particular vehicle?” When researching an interchange, the year-specific information should take priority over a broad model-level assumption.
What to Check Before Using Model Page Information
Before treating a wheel as compatible, confirm:
- The exact target vehicle model year and configuration
- The vehicle's bolt pattern / PCD
- The wheel's bolt pattern / PCD
- Center bore and whether a correctly sized hub-centric ring is needed
- Wheel diameter, width, and offset
- Brake and suspension clearance
- Tire size and overall tire package
- Correct lug nuts, bolts, studs, and seat type
A hub ring can adapt a wheel bore that is larger than the vehicle hub, but it cannot make a wheel with a smaller center bore fit. A normal spacer moves a wheel outward but does not change its bolt pattern. If the PCDs differ, a bolt-pattern adapter may be required, subject to clearance and hardware limits.
