Will a different offset affect handling or clearance?
Yes. Lower offset pushes the wheel outward, which can improve inner clearance but risks fender contact. Higher offset pulls the wheel inward, which may contact the strut or brake lines. Use the calculator to visualize inner and outer movement and verify clearance on both axles and at full steering lock.
Can I use spacers to clear the brakes?
Possibly, if inner barrel clearance is close. Use only high-quality hub-centric spacers that maintain hub engagement and consider longer wheel studs or bolts as needed. Recalculate with the spacer thickness added to the offset in the calculator.
What is the correct lug nut torque?
Use the torque specification in the 2016 CTS-V owner’s manual or GM service information. Do not rely on generic values. Torque in a star pattern and recheck after 50 to 100 miles.
How much tire diameter change is acceptable?
