A related vehicle is a vehicle connected to another vehicle in a wheel-fitment database because of shared or evaluated characteristics. These characteristics may include bolt pattern / PCD, center bore, wheel diameter, wheel width, offset range, hardware requirements, or overall interchange information.
The term describes a relationship between vehicle records. It does not necessarily mean that the vehicles use identical wheels or that a wheel from one vehicle is a Direct Fit on the other.
How Related Vehicles Are Used in Wheel Fitment

A related-vehicle link can help organize possible interchange candidates and identify vehicles with similar or overlapping fitment data.
The relationship may support several different fitment outcomes, including:

A normal wheel spacer moves a wheel outward but does not change its bolt pattern. If the donor wheel and target vehicle use different PCD measurements, a spacer alone does not resolve that difference. A bolt-pattern adapter may be required, and the adapter direction must match the vehicle and wheel patterns.
Example
Suppose a donor vehicle is linked to a target vehicle because both have been evaluated as possible sources of interchangeable wheels. A particular donor wheel may have the same PCD as the target vehicle but a larger center bore. If the wheel's center bore is 67.1 mm and the target hub is 64.1 mm, a properly sized 67.1 → 64.1 mm hub-centric ring may be appropriate, subject to clearance and other checks.
That same related-vehicle link would not make a wheel with a center bore smaller than the target vehicle's hub fit. The wheel cannot pass over the hub, and a hub ring cannot create additional physical clearance.

A related vehicle can make a useful fitment comparison easier to find, but the final decision should be based on the complete dimensions and installation conditions of the specific wheel and target vehicle.
